Don't know about Jost, but here on STX we've been waiting for the wind and rain associated with TS Maria. It finally got here this afternoon.

Jost is a ghost town because it's September not because of any storm 🙂

Pia is right. It was pretty slow when we were there. Just enjoy the peace and quiet.

My boyfriend and I are scheduled to fly into St. Thomas from Dallas, Tx Friday (9-16). We are schedule to fly out Wednesday (9-21). I have been obsessively searching the internet weather sites for forecast info. I think I have been on every site know to man only to be left with some conflicting reports. Some say there will be periods of showers and a possible thunderstorm late in the afternoons on most days and others say there will be rain ALL DAY LONG EVERYDAY????????? Please tell me that our dreams of fun in the sun arent going to be spoiled by rain and we would be better of staying here and trying to enjoy the Texas sun. Help!!!!! Its raining on my romance! 🙁

Texas Twist:

You are visiting at the height of Hurricane season.

Weather is unpredictable during this period.

Hopefully you'll have some sunshine.

Every day I was there the forecast said scattered storms, 85 and a 30% chance of rain. Turned out to be more like 87, widely scattered storms about 8% of the time. I think that's pretty much the "stock" forecast this time of year. Basically like "Partly cloudy with a 20% chance of scattered storms, highs in the mid to upper 90's" is the standard where I live in South Carolina all summer long.

F.I and Brent D,

Thanks for the responses. Living in Dallas when we see rain in ANY forecast it freaks us out! Espeacially this year. Its been dry as a powder house here. 😉 Havent seen any rain since May and we are all feelling a bit like crispy critters!!!! We may actually enjoy a shower or two but we are hoping it doesnt last all day long.
