Hi,
Does anybody know the situation of stray dogs on the virgin islands?
What I mean; are there many, are they treated badly, are many of them ill?
Is the situation the same on all the islands, or are there certain islands where the animals are better off than on others?
Thank you very much!

Would like to point out that dogfighting IS now illegal in the US Virgin Islands but cockfighting is (as yet) not. In order to ensure passage of the long fought for Animal Cruelty Bill which passed a couple of years ago, cockfighting was omitted from the legislation to be addressed again at a later date. The majority of dog-owning "local Virgin Islanders" are as responsible owners as you can find anywhere in the world.

USVI...same story in Phila. Many arrested for dog fighting and just this week for cock fighting. Neither are legal here, but it happens all the time and is in the news alot. How anyone could do that is beyond me.
