This is a practice run on sharing our upcoming visit (6/17 - 24) to STT with fellow STT/STJ lovers. These are last years photos. We can't wait. Snorkeling gear is already packed. Saphire Beach is calling. This forum is great. Keeps us in touch with the island and most of the Q&A's are really helpful. We are new to facebook. Hopefully this will work. If so enjoy. If not - we'll try again after our vacation to paradise!!

Hi, My Daughter is getting married on Magens Bay on 6/18 and will be staying a week afterwards. It is out first time to STT. We have been trying to find a nice place for lunch after the wedding at 10:00 am, so maybe around 1:00 or 2:00, for 11 people. I have been getting alot of different names of restaurants and still haven't decided. Since you seem to visit alot, do you have any suggestions? I thought we could go after the wedding and my daughter would still be in her wedding dress- it would be nice to have a nice beach view while we eat. Any ideas???

Hi Larry,

Congratulations as father of the bride, what a wonderful place for your daughter to be getting married. I think that a wonderful place for a wedding luncheon would be at The Great House and Botanical Gardens. It is a beautiful setting and has wonderful views of Magen's Bay. Some other options that are close by would be Indigo at Magen's Point Resort or Mahogany Run. I know that at Point Pleasant Resort they have a charter boat that does intimate dinner cruises for small parties, you could always check and see if they could set something up for lunch.

I hope this helps,

Molly

The turtles are waiting!!!

See you there!

Blue Moon at Secret Harbour would be perfect.

I posted about 84 or 85 pictures. Like I said, this is new to me.

As STT Resident said - Blue Moon at Secret Harbour would be perfect. We agree. One of the most special memories we have is from Secret Harbour. You could also check to see if one of the local entertainers would be available to play music for you. We actually did this in Jamaica for our son's wedding at one of the restaurants near the resort where we stayed. It might just be us, but it made the day magical. Pan music - a wedding - paradise - dancing in the sand under palm trees right on the ocean - Calgon, take us away. . . .

to billd - We have a car. We do breakfast on the deck and pack our lunches. We usually follow the entertainment - pan musicians, Caribbean parties, Duffy's, CA and RH clubs, do dinner and dance, so it will not be an issue for us. We hear it is a spectacular resort even without the amenities.

BTW - We just packed our second suitcase. Pathetic - yes, but, we don't care. . . . It is all we can think about. Have to run - the neighbors just called the cops - I guess Bill Blass is singing a bit too loud.

Don't you have to be a member of Facebook to look at stuff? I only see the one picture also.

I am not sure how it works. I allowed everyone to view it. Maybe you have to join to view. I'll ask my son if there is something I have to do or something you have to do. Maybe someone from the forum can advise.

When I click on the picture, I get a page about Paul, but no way to look at any other pictures. It keeps asking me to sign up with Facebook....

seaweed

I actually live on STT right above Sapphire Beach as well as own some condos at Crystal Cove. I'm down there about 8 months a year but need to come back to NJ for various reasons. And I count every day until I can get back when I'm away.

Yes he is. If you see him, tell him his friends from Delaware will be down in a few weeks.

Blue Moon Gets my vote. Very good food and service right on the beach. They also have a beach bar on the same level as the restaurant with a seating area also with the beach a few feet away. It's a very pretty spot. Here is a sunset shot from Blue Moon last Feb.
