Is the west & north side typically for university students? And, what is the difference in the living conditions between the east/west & north/south sides of the island?

The island is very small so people can live and work anywhere. Students live on campus or travel from homes all over the island. If I were a studen again, I would look for a place in the west in order to avoid traffic.
