Hey everyone!
We got back to Ohio last week! We had such a good time! I usually stay on STJ and stayed at Point Pleasant this time. It was nice, but i definetly prefer to stay on St. John.

View from our hotel--

5/19--
After much traveling and some scary turbulence...we arrived at about 12:30 pm. Got to our hotel--nice staff and gorgeous views but we were disappointed with the quality of the room. I liked Point Pleasant but would probaly try something else next time. We kinda took it easy our first day. We went down to Fungi's which was okay food, but good atmosphere and views. That night we went into Red Hook and went to Duffy's for dinner and drinks--Been to Duffy's before but had alot more fun. We ended up going there almost every night!

TRUNK

5/20--
We got up early and had planned on JVD--but got SOOO many mixed reviews about the customs. I had a passport but my bf only had birth. cert and ID. Sooo many mixed reviews. We were so confused so we went to STJ instead and headed over to Trunk Bay. Also been before but there were hardly any people there so it was really nice. We stayed all day then we went to Woody's for happy hour (highly recommend) and tons of fun! Cheap. Then we went over to Banana Deck for dinner. Prices are not bad...food was alright. Then we went to Duffy's again! Great music!

TRUNK

5/21--
We headed to Magen's for the day--I had never been--it was slightly overcast--with all the great raves and reviews i wasn't impressed. We kept saying we felt like we were in a lake. It was alright...but my least favorite beach i have been to on the islands. After we went back and headed to dinner at Molly Molone's in Red Hook. I have also been here before..I love the atmosphere. It was good food...small portions i thought. We shopped around. I love all the surf shops..im a big surfer girl! Then we went to guess where!!---> Duffy's! 🙂 haha more fun that night. I have so many of the cute glasses from there!

MAGENS

5/22--
We went to Coki for the day. I really love it there..We walked from Point Pleasant. If you can stand the disgusting odors...its alright to walk. We went jet skiing and saw a sea turtle or two...then we went back to the beach and snorkled for a good part of the day. The snorkling was great. There was like 1 or 2 other people and i like to go pretty far out! We saw two sting rays and 1 sea turtle! It was ammmmazing! That night we went to Agave Terrace at our hotel. The views were unbelievable and the sunset was great! The food is a little pricey but it was good. I had the Jerk Chicken...my only complaint--no ranch dressing..haha i put ranch on everything so...what can i say. The bartender was very nice. Try one of his self-named drinks..i cant think of his name but its first on the list and they serve them at Fungi's as well.
(Ill post our snorkling pics tomorrow!)

AGAVE TERRACE VIEW

5/23--
Our last full day! Back to STJ to Cinnamon (one of my favorites) and more quiet. We spent most of the day just lounging on the beach and hanging out. After the beach we went back to Woody's for happy hour! Then dinner at High Tide. If you like Alfredo...get the lobster alfredo with mushrooms! It was the best i have ever...ever had! It was sooo good. Then we went to Duffy's..On wednesday nights ladies drink for free! So that was alot of fun!

SUNSET AT HIGH TIDE

5/24-- Our last day 🙁

We took our luggage into Charlotte Amalie and thought we'd have to lug it around because our flight out wasnt until 4:30...But there is this little corner shop that held our bags for 3 dollars!! So that was nice. We shopped around for a couple hours..had lunch then headed to the airport ( which was sauna-fied ) and headed back to Charlotte! We had a great time!

CINNAMON

Questions--
1) Does anyone know why there is no Foxy's fire water rum or Foxy's Lager to be found anywhere??! I had it last year and the year before.

2) This is RANDOM...Okay.. on the plane some nutty woman was telling us some story about her friend that survived a plane crash ( BTW while we were experiencing severe turbulence) coming from Hawaii and landed in a field in Iowa and they made a movie about it..everyone but like 20 some died. Does anyone know this movie?! lol

Thanks guys! Like ill said ill post some more pics aND our snorkeling pics tomorrow when i get a chance!

<3 Lindsey 🙂

Lindsey...thank you so much for the trip report and your pictures.

That movie you're talking about you're talking about may be called "Fearless"? with Jeff Bridges. I don't remember it coming from Hawaii, but it was in a corn field and not many people lived. It was a story about how you live with survivors guilt. I loved that movie.

Lyndsyvichesney,
When we were on Jost last month (for a day) we had lunch at Foxy's and they said they were out of the firewater rum. Bummer! That was the main reason my hubby wanted to eat there - to try the firewater rum. Sooo, if they didn't have it at his own establishment, it stands to reason there was none anywhere.

also, by your name I can assume you are a Chesney fan?? since you're from Ohio, will you be going to see him in Columbus on June 7th?? My sister and I are going - first concert of any kind for me in YEARS! I have really become a fan of his this past year, my sister has been in love with him for a long time heehee.

I wished we could've gone back to Duffy's a second time while we were there. After eating at Whale of Tale one night, we were going to go to Duffy's again, then it started POURING down the rain! We didn't even bother looking to see if people were crammed inside or what, we just left.

Love the pics and report! We stayed at Point Pleasant last year and really enjoyed it. The only problem was the room..it wasn't the best, but we were hardly there, so it didn't matter much. Loved the rest of the resort though. I loved Agave too...I'm a vegetarian, so I had some sort of veggie pot pie with pumkin in it...it rocked!

We loved High Tide on STJ too! Most people seem to be like "eh, whatever" but we really liked it.

I agree, Coki is one of the best. It has a great atmosphere, lots of fun.

Don't you just love people who talk about crashes when you are on a plane? *rolling my eyes*

Mountaineer girl, I'm going to his concert here in Dallas on June 16. Fun!

Has anybody met Thor on Coki beach? What a character. I have to figure out how to get pictures on here again. We have some good ones.

Hey all! Thanks for the great comments!

Connie-- That might be it? She was really freaking me out with the story. Ill have to look it up and find out!

MountaineerGirl-- Yeah about the Rum--I have a bottle of it at my house from 3 years ago! So im not going to open it. I think they stopped making it. At the brewing place in Charlotte on STT they dont have the Foxy's stuff in the store anymore. So thats a bummer 🙁
About Kenny! Yess i am a fan...(no its not why i like the islands lol!) And i am going to Columbus next week as well as Cleveland in July! I have met him a couple times and I think hes a nice guy with some good music. How are your seats?! I realize this isnt a Chesney board so you can PM me if you want!

Sherri--Yes Tyler loved it! He said he def. wants to go back and stay on St. John. It was his first time.

GariAnn--I agree with you about PP...Great atmosphere..rooms need re-done. Haha i do hate when ppl talk about crashing esp. when the flight attendants run to their seats without finishing the drink cart..haha. Are you from Dallas?! I loveee it there! I visit 1-2 times a year. Im in fashion and it'd be a great place to start out!

You won't believe this...I was looking at what movies were on the On Demand last night, and that movie you were describing was listed! It is indeed called Fearless. How funny!

I'm in one of the Dallas suburbs, McKinney. I'm grew up in Austin though. If you're in fashion, Dallas is definitely a place to go. lol

We didn't have time to go to Cinnamon, but that will be on my list next time (hopefully next year). Your pics of Cinnamon are gorgeous!

Lindsey:

What unit did you have a Point Pleasant? Was it a Junior or Superior Suite.

Lindsey:

If you go back request a top of the hill unit.....a superior suite....you won't regret it.

I've seen quite a number of the hill top units and they are all very good. Many were recently updated.
