Hi everyone! My wife and I are trying to get back to STT after forced exile for six years -- too long. We got married at the Sugar Bay, and were a little concerned to hear Wyndham was no longer affiliated. I dug around some other places and came up with some really questionable reviews of how the place is now. We absolutely loved it when we were there before, and were a little disheartened that it may not be what we remembered. We'd hate to come all the way to have a disappointing stay.

Does anybody know how it is now? Have you heard? The AI was good for us -- much easier than carrying around cards or anything, and we remember the food being really good, the grounds being clean and nice (with dozens of iguanas!!!) and the rooms being nice. Is it still that way?

Thanks much in advance. WE can't wait to get back!!!

From what I've heard nothing has changed drastically and in fact some of the employees have mentioned that the staff in general is much happier these days. The guests I've met seem quite content. Personally I think it's a good thing they've decided to move away from AI as it's a concept which has never worked too well here. So many things to do and so many different dining options! I don't think you'll be disappointed going back to Sugar Bay but wherever you decide to stay have a wonderful time!

Thanks so much for your response! Yeah, I think moving away from AI does keep the legions of drunk kids down, which is definitely a plus especially if you have smaller children. I mean, we love STT because of the beauty of the island and its people; we could stay here and go to a frat party. 😉
