Hey Beer Hunter, we've stayed at Sunset Beach twice - 2001 and 2002. Is this what you are looking for?

BTW, any interest in Foreign Extra Stout tasting or the local brewpub, the Tap Room?

Cheers, RickG

Rick,
That is the place. Is it as nice as it looks? How is the snorkeling? Any info that would help me make my wife like it would help.

I am always up for beer tasting!

Matt

Connie,
We are thinking of taking a group to get them hooked on the islands.

This is a nicely situated property. We stopped staying there after 2003 because a house was built next door (Dream Come True) overlooking the pool. The only pic on the CV we site is the third one that shows the adjacent house on the right, as you face the water. I have seen reviews since we stayed there that stated the furnishings were tired, but they were fine when we were there. You may want to check with the management company regarding this. The pool is on the level below the kitchen, so be careful carrying those pitchers of blender drinks. You WILL experence no-see-ums at dawn and dusk. If the poolside ice maker is important to you check with the villa company to see if it is currently working.

Sunset Beach is fun, but we prefer to stay up the hill away from the no-see-ums. But, the kids have been bugging me to stay here again, they have never had the chance. Jazz Villa is one we like a lot higher up. Remember, CV charges a 5% service charge, so factor that into your villa cost.

Devers Bay is a great place. It is private and has great snorkeling, especially to the right around the point towards Chocolate Hole. We snorkel to the Devers Beach from Choco Hole on most of our trips. This is a deep water snorkel with lots of boulders, fish, nurse sharks and other cool stuff. The beach is cobblestone with a small sandy area below villa Island Time.

You can see the 2001 and 2002 villa pics at:
