hi all, i was wondering what it was like swimming in from the new horizions boat, to the baths, and the soggy dollar. not for me but my sister, she does not swim. can anyone give me insight on how far it is, is it very far??
she says she maybe could be brave and use a board, but i would rather she didnt have to decide like that. and it would be easier on me. lol thanks for any input, scooby

The NH II is very accomodating for those who do not swim and make it very comfortable and not embarrassing - they have a great supply of noodles and flotations devices for those who don't swim. It's a little longer swim in at the Baths, Soggy Dollar is not bad at all...you are kind to be so considerate of your sister's feelings and you might be comfortable with the Limnos as she won't have to get in the water at all if she doesn't want to and there is also a little better shade area if she opts to stay in the boat.
Hope you have a fun trip!

Well, when i went, i could touch bottom and didnt need to swim at Soggy Dollar , very shallow. The baths is a bit of a swim if your not use to it. They offer fins or floats if you need it, I didnt, i just swam it, not a problem. After a few yards of swimming you cant touch bottom and walk the rest of the way in. WIsh we could have stayed longer at the baths,,it was like,,well,,here it is,,ok, lets go you saw it.

You might want to take a trip to the Baths with someone that actually lets you off at the docks, transports you by taxi to the top of the hill where the Baths begin.

I've done it both ways, it you get a much better perspective on what they are all about with the later

My husband and I took the NHII trip on Monday. There were 2 people on our boat who did not swim. They both made it into the Baths and to the Soggy Dollar. They also both snorkeled at Guana Island...lots of noodles and boards on the boat.

i wonder why they dock sometimes and not others? why can't all the boats get closer to just jump, and swim alittle ways? scooby

scooby: When there is a ground swell, the water can be very rough at the Baths, difficult if not dangerous to swim in. You don't want big boats in too close to the beach if you are enjoying the beach.
