In reading Bill's trip report about take out BBQ, it got me wondering if many places on the island deliver? I could see a lazy day at the pool ending with a delivered meal! Just like home 😉
Was just wondering if that's common and if anyone knows of places that may deliver?

thanks

Mary Beth, I didn't hear of any specific places that deliver. Our Destination St. John rep mentioned pizza delivery, I think. We never thought much about it though because we like to go out.

While I think you are asking about St John, on St Thomas you can get Senor Pizza delivery if you are on the East End! Pretty good pizza. But then there aren't a lot of folks who deliver here.

Not sure.

Actually, I thought about this as a business idea when I was on STT last. In my city (Philly) we have delivery agents who strike delivery deals with the restaurants and compile websites offering delivery services to restaurants who don't normally deliver. So, you can go to the delivery agent's site and order take-out from a number of restaurants. I thoguht this would be a good idea on STT and STJ.....delivery from your favorite restaurant. You pay a fee for the delivery, which is how the agent makes their profit.

I guess the problem in the USVI is that there really aren't addresses.

I can hear it now:

"hello, I need a delivery to the third house atop the mountain. Take a left at the fork in the road and climb the hill to the dumpster, then turn right at the big rock......"
