Our first trip to St. John was off the cruise ship in 2005; a visit to Trunk Bay and my very first snorkeling experience.  I was bitten by the snorkel bug and we've gone back every year to spend a day snorkeling Leinster; Salt Pond; Maho; Hawksnest; etc.

The perfect day on STJ includes breakfast at Mongoose Junction; a photo stop overlooking Trunk; snorkeling Maho the lunch at Skinny Legs and then a cocktail stop at Miss Lucy's.  If there's time, we always love a Beach Bar stop before taking the ferry back to STT!

My first trip to St. John was in 1980. We stayed at Cinnamon Bay campsite 162. The weather was perfect. We hitch rides and met awesome people. Not much traffic back then. Very relaxing and was with a wonderful lady. I have only missed about 5 years since then. St. John is MY heaven on earth. I am looking forward to returning in 2018. Many of the bars from 1980 are gone but the memories are still vivid. On every trip I meet new friends and rekindle others. I hope it does not get over developed.
