Does anyone know if Sweet Plaintains is open for Thanksgiving and if they serve some sort of Carribean Turkey dinner?

Has anyone been to Skinny Legs for Thanksgiving and if so what do you think of the pig roast and regatta?

What about Chateaux Bordeaux or Tage or Zozo's for Thanksgiving. ANy suggestion?

I see you really liked Skinny's for Thanksgiving Dylan. I'm afraid it may be too much of a crazy party, is it? We were looking for something a little fancier but you never know we may be in the crazy party mood!

Nature Girl,

Yeah, the THANKSPIGGING party at Skinny's is a pretty crazy event. I go alot, but not this year as I've moved to St. Thomas and have to play music over here this year.

I have no doubt that you would have a fabulous time ouot there, HOWEVER, if you're wanting somplace fancier, try ASOLARE in town. Don't know if they'll be open, but they're definitely alot fancier(a tad spendy as well) than most.

You can also check into Tage.

Concerning Sweet Plantains, don't know if they will be open but if they are, the food is VERY authentic and DELICIOUS!!

Y'all enjoy..........................

Thanks Dylan,

Sweet Plaintains seems to me to be someting to remember as well. It would be nice to have some type of island authentic food seeing as it is Thankgiving and I think that would make it simple and special. I don't know though because I can see Skinny's being a laugh riot that day and we may just go there. I'll have to consult with my better half on that one.

What's the deal with the Regatta at Skinny's and can you just go there that day and pay or do you have to make some kind of reservations? Do they supply alchol and beer or just beer or do you bring your own?

Isn't Tage a tapas place?

During THANKSPIGGING, they have a huge water trough, bring your favorite drinks and plunk them in the ice!!
No reservations, no pay, bring something, ANYTHING to share, chips and salsa ALWAYS work well as people drink and snack. And then just ENJOY!!!

Ruth from St. John Spice has a partial listing of closings and such: http://stjohnspice.com/stjohnrestaurants.htm It's a good place start! You can also email Sweet Plantains at: [email protected] Tradewinds Newspaper had a listing as well, but I can't seem to find that at the moment, maybe a search would bring it up?

Rose and Prince the owners/chef of Sweet Plantains are off island right now or I would call them. They reopen for business on Nov 16th but I am unsure of them being open on Thanksgiving but I think they are closed but don't quote me on that.

The fine dinning options on St John are too numorus to mention. For a nice meal with a wonderful view, I would suggest Maho Bay.
