We will be flying in to St Thomas on Thursday November 27th (Thanksgiving Day !!) around 4:30pm. Does anyone forsee any problems we might encounter - like all the rental car places closing early for the holiday, grocery stores being closed, etc ?

Thanks. Dianne

I doubt it. Most grocery stores are open all the time. One or two of them 365 days a year. Business will be as usual otherwise.

But your trip from the airport to wherever you're going will be a clear run with all the government offices, court and non-tourist-related businesses closed for the day. Check with whichever car rental operation you choose just to make sure. Cheers!

Marty,
As an FYI we took friend's visiting us to Mafolie for Turkey dinner 2 years ago. It was not a hit, because it wasn't traditional turkey dinner. I'd suggest Malones and if a member go to the STT Yacht Club.

Only issue we had when we were there for T-giving last year was getting dinner reservations. Seems you have to make them at least a few days (3-4) in advance for a lot of places since everywhere seemed quite busy. Other than that it was business as usual that day....actually did not even feel like T-giving to be honest, but we sort of expected that. We will be there again this year for T-giving!

Think Marty is referring to Toad and Tart in Smith Bay -

I have had a few Thanksgiving dinners with visitors at Craig and Sally's in Frenchtown 340-777-9949
Sally makes you feel like you are having dinner at her house -- which was awesome -- and some other non-turkey choices were excellent as well if you choose.
