Does anyone know if the Greenhouse Restaurant in Charlotte Amalie is for families? I got the impression from their website that it's more of a bar and party place. We were thinking of dinner during the happy hour 4:30 - 7pm.
It looks like a nice menu for families. Is it on the water with nice views? Can you see the ships? Thanks.

Kathleen,

The Greenhouse Happy Hour dinner was one the favorite meals shared among the four of us, including one 13 year old and one 14 year old. There was, I think, $3 off each appetizer. We ordered a whole bunch of appetizers and just picked across the table and filled ourselves up, sampling all of them. It was really a "fun" meal. Kids of all ages are there and it can get lively, but still be appropriate for kids.

The Greenhouse is just fine for kids. Take mine (12 and 18) there on every trip. It's sort of like Friday's in the States. Something for everyone.

Hi Kathleen,

We took our two kids ages 18 and 8 to the greenhouse for dinner on a Tuesday evening during happy hour. It was two for one drinks and three dollars off all appetizers. We did the same thing Gerie did. Pretty much ordered every app on the menu along with some RUM and had at it. It was perfect for us and one of our favorite meals. I definitely recommend The Greenhouse!

The GreenHouse was the first restaurant my boyfriend and i ate at when we went to STT last month. It was a fun place for any age, although like some people mentioned it does get rowdier later at night. but from 430-7 would be a the perfect time. If u can try to get a "window" seat so you are right near the open air. It is a pretty view outside, but if u are inside the restaurant looking out the Cruise ships are going to be more towards the right side but either way it is a nice place to eat at. Mondays is Margaritas buy one get one free. can't go wrong there.
