Hi everyone, we're headed out to STJ in 12 days and 20 hours (but who's counting?). 🙂

We will be there for one week and have already planned a day trip wtih New Horizon's II. We were thinking about a second trip that might get us to different places (I'd love to see Sandy Spit or Sandy Cay for example). Any suggestions? It's just the two of us and we want the cost to be reasonable (in other words I don't want to be the only two people and have to pay $600 or something for the day).

Any ideas? Please and thank you.

We leave in 11 days and will be there by this time... but whos counting...LOL We have booked a Day Trip with Captain Clark to Sandy Spit for a day while we are there. We have not sailed with him but he has really really good reviews and seems very nice on the phone. Hes fairly reasonable and only takes up to 6 people I believe. You might want to check out his site and see if it would be something that would interest you. Have Fun...:)

We are also leaving for STJ in 11 days and have booked a trip with New Horizons II. We are looking for a second trip to take and are considering catching a ferry over to the BVI. Other excursions we are considering are renting a dinghy(s) for a day and do some beach hopping, the Reef Bay Trail hike and some other short hiking trails. There are 10 in our group so it makes it a little tougher to plan a group excursion. Mostly we plan to take up some serious beach space and do some snorkeling

Hope you have a great time. Who knows maybe we will bump into to you.

I have no idea if this is a good idea or not, since we have not been there yet, but we are planning two trips. One is a powerboat tour to JVD (Breakaway), and the other is a more local daysail (Gypsy Spirit II). We wanted to experience two different types of trips during our week there.

We arrive on STT this Thursday afternoon, spending a week on STJ. 2 more days!

Wow, Captain Clark has a good deal going! Too bad he goes out of Coral Bay (I will be on STT). I am in the market for a sailing trip (daysail or sunset sail) and his deal is excellent! His BVI trip is 9am -8pm and is cheaper than all that I have seen.

His sunset sail is 4hrs for $50...excellent.

Mental note to self: when in Coral Bay, book with Clark!

Everybody who is booking 2 days on a boat trip has the right idea. That's the only thing that everybody in our party of 9 regrest. We had such a great day on Born to Rhumb, that next year, it will definetly be 2 full days...and well worth the money.

Sandy Cay.....probaby the most beautiful place that I have every seen in my life. Anybody traveling to the BVI's has to make a stop there.

We just got back from STJ and chartered Lion In Da Sun. Josh is the captain and co-owner. Super reasonable and totally flexable on where to go. He will snorkel with you if you prefer. Very comfortable catamaran style powerboat. They are located in St John. We stayed at The Westin and he picked us up at the Westin dock, handled customs expertly. Very pleasant experience.

Have fun!

Thanks everyone! Great input. I looked into Lion in the Sun and Capt Clark.

For those of you who did Clark's Jost trip, what can you tell me about it? The day sounds amazing!
