These multiple threads are, in my opinion, getting way out of hand in many respects and becoming a virtual soap box for a few whose opinions run unchecked in a barrage of occasionally almost indecipherable hyperbole. Seems that the forum moderator is AWOL.

Maybe I'm preaching to the choir but the STT Source has published intelligently on the subject and their active Open Forum is teeming with rational comments from members of this community as well as "outsiders."

I would like to suggest that instead of cutting and pasting into this forum long articles from the local and stateside media, posters provide links so that readers can choose to read the articles for themselves (if they haven't already done so and I suspect the majority has.)

Maybe then we can all return to what this forum is all about - answering questions about visiting the islands. If you want to criticize all that is wrong with the Virgin Islands, find another outlet or, if you have some intelligent proposals to remedy those ills, address them to the legislative body or the community groups or whoever else. Thanks.

Now they are attacking Shaun on another thread for her editorial.

I thought it was one of the few reasoned things anyone's written. I've been struck by how reasoned the responses have been from the long time residents on the islands. ( Judge Kendall is clearly an exception to that statement, but we've got some judges in Boston who are problems also). The ones flipping out appear to be those of us who visit periodically and get most of our info online.
