hello all...

after posting my pics up and also browsing back through other peoples snaps, most recently beer hunters brilliant pics and commentary, i just thought it might be nice to have a thread about taking pics on holidays...there seems to be a lot of keen amateurs out there and questions on equipment and cameras used, where to get the best views on the islands etc etc

also lots of folks seem to have albums on photobucket or similar and have traveled far and wide with great pics to show for it....

and how about a caption contest (in the same vein as the KC tshirt slogan 'contest' maybe? lol)

anyhoo, just a thought...anyone interested?

I like to call this one:

Water Spout?? What water spout? I have a beer in my hand and about to jump on the ferry to STJ directly into the path of this sucker. No worries!!

Great picture from 1968. It certainly has changed since then. I'll show it to my wife later. We of course have pictures from our honeymoon there in 1968, I'll have to dig them out. We got to Magens Bay several times that trip.
Thanks for calling my attention to it.

ccd, I actually have a bunch. I am embarrassed to say that I have promised to upload them, but haven't. I have to scan them first, of course.

I have a bunch of STJ and STT photos from between 1965 and 1978.

Soon!

WOW--just beautiful!!!! That's how the harbor looked for us at night for the last 11 days. You can now see the beautiful blue lights of the Yacht Haven Grande-----fabulous addition for the island.

When I approach a urinal I always let to enter feet first, it is just safer that way!

a urinal to me is a big neon sign saying 'wrong door, leave quickly'....being confronted with a urinal, toilet AND no diving sign would be just plain confusing lol
