Hi, this is our first trip to the Virgin Islands and we are planning to stay on St John. I am exploring renting a villa and found one on the south east side near Hurricane Hole. They describe the southeast trade winds to keep you cool. Does that mean it is windy on the beach? I don't mind a breeze to keep me cool but don't want wind.

Any suggestions for a villa (4 people) with easy beach access would be appreciated.

Also, we are looking at flights that leave St Thomas at 7:30am. Can we get a ferry or water taxi from St John early enough to make that flight?

Thanks

Cherry

No the first ferry is at 6am and that would get you to the airport (after the taxi) at about 7:00am on a good day and 7:15am on a bad day - you need to be at the airport no later that 90 minutes before your flight time to clear Customs and Immigration.

Thanks for the info Pia. I wasn't sure if there was a different way to get across the water but it sounds like the ferry is my best bet. Cherry
