Hi, I read on the events calendar for USVI that March 31, 2008 is a local holiday called Transfer Day. Will the stores at Charlotte Amalie and Havensight be closed on this day? Does anyone know store hours?

Also, does the car barge to St. John from STT still operate on this holiday?

Rolex Regatta Race will be starting the last week of March. Is this a really busy time for St. Thomas (ie. restaurants, shops, hotels)?

Thanks.

Business will be as usual for that day. There will be ceremonies in the Legislature gardens that won't affect any business activities. Schools and the local government will be closed.

Everything except Government Offices should be open on Transfer Day.
