Is any transportation available after 4:00 PM on weekdays from STT to Tortola? (Last ferry leaves at 4:00).

Are there private "water taxis" available?

Cost? Contact Info?

Date: April 7

Thanks,

F.I.

Future Islander,

The only problem with transportation after 4pm is that the customs house is closed, which is why nobody will just drop you off after 4pm. You have to clear customs, and when you come in by boat you MUST go to the customs house first thing in the morning, and you are really supposed to stay on your boat, but they let that slide. But if someone just dropped you off and you didn't clear customs and the customs people found out you came in with them (which they would since its on the form) they could seize their boat if they wanted to be real jerks about the whole thing.

You can try the Water Taxi people http://www.watertaxi-vi.com/Rates.htm they might have something special setup. If you are trying to go over there for the night the only way I know of is private boat or get there earlier.

StuScott:

Thanks.

I'm coming in at 1:30 by plane, but airline schedules do not always run on time...if I miss the last ferry then I miss my party in Tortola.

Maybe you can take a plane over, I would guess that the airport has late arrivals and you could clear customs there.

Thanks.

Only air transportation that I found was STT to EIS via SJU. I might just route myself directly through SJU instead.
