Bueno Dias from sunny Playa del Carmen. Two things.
We spent the night in the Best Western at the SanJuan airport. This was very convenient for our early morning flight to Miama and then Cancun. 50 feet from the American Airlines ticket counters, new furnishing, good A/C, price right at $140. If you ever need to stay there, feel comfortable doing so.
THIS IS IMPORTANT. I thought I could travel to Mexico on a drivers license and an expired passport --- Wrong. I had to scramble to get an affadavit signed by a notary, swearing that I was born in the US. I we had had less time in Miami, I would have spend all day standing by to get to cancun.
Wedding tomorrow. So far not much of a vacation!!
