What happened in Barbados was a guy asked us on the beach, in the open with lots of people around if we could give him 100us money in exchange for 210barbados money. Mind you we were talking with him for awhile. Mom lives in Fla he's from brooklyn etc. We said okay since we were going to buy stuff anyway. He said he would be right back which should have been our FIRST ALARM. He never showed up. We ate lunch at George's (little shack on the beach) and told him. He got angry at Rico but told us "no more" stay away from him. We also reported this to the police. I chalk it up to a lesson learned. April was wonderful!!! She gave us such special attention. If I ever do go to St. Thomas again I will be sure to look her up and maybe have lunch or dinner. Most of the shops closed at 1-2pm (Easter Sunday) so we didn't get to see much of the Island. I was a little nervous to start grabbing cabs that late in the afternoon. My favorite islands were Dominica and Tortola. Dominica was very unassuming but had the most beautiful rain forest. I found the people to be less pushy. Tortola was my second favorite again because of the scenery. It was not as built up as the more popular islands. I did love them all but those were my favorites. I felt mysel relaxing and just going with the flow of the island life.

Oh, now I see what happened! This is a different thread than your first! Thanks for the information above, it will be helpful for those in the future!

We had some guests who went shopping at the grocerey store, some guy offered to help them with their stuff and they tipped him, when they got home, they discovered their booze was gone!!!! 🙂 Another lesson learned!

Hi Sherri,

We would love to come back to ST. Thomas. We didn't get to see much of the island AT ALL! We'll look you up if and when we do make it. Maybe have a few rum punches or painkillers like we enjoyed on the beach.
