I keep getting a Phorum database error message when trying to post a trip report and it tells me to try again later. Has anyone else had this problem?

Hello Wolf,

I don't recognize that error message, so not sure what is causing it. Please try to post your trip report again, if you get the error message again please copy it as it is written and send it to me by email so we can trouble shoot. Also if you get the error again go ahead and send the trip report to me by email and I will post it for you. (Email: islander@vinow.com)

Thank you,
--Islander

that's odd, because if you can post replies and fwds, you should be able to start a new topic as well.

is the exact error "try again later" or are there more words. sometimes there is a clue for support in the entire, exact error message...

this must be frustrating. are you trying to post pictures or other files or just typing in your text?

how are you connecting? if you have a slower connection like dialup maybe you are losing connection with the server briefly without knowing it while you type a long passage.

try typing your tale and saving in a word processing program like notepad or word (or simpletext on a mac)... starting the new topic, putting in the subject line, and then pasting in your report so that the process takes only a few moments and see if it works?

hope this may help you!
