I can only recommend the beach bar right as you get off the ferry in Cruz Bay. I really like the view and the food.

Lots of people like Woody's, but it's too small for me.

Woody's 3-5 Happy Hour - It really is nothing special except it is fun to chat with folks standing on the side road and learn from their experiences from the day.
Beach Bar - Especially on Sundays for the Jazz
Quiet Mon - they make real drinks - I am not into bushwacker, fruit drinks, or the popular ones - The have fair pours - I like my dark tonic... dark
Skinny Legs - Coral Bay food and fun
I have not been but I want to check out the new owners at Island Blues in coral bay
- Has anyone reported on how they are doing with Music or Food? I must have missed it if they did

Who needs food when you just hit 5 bars;)

I was reading down... waiting for.... and X hit it, Shipwreck Landing with the kinds of pours that Connie would love.

Kenny is back at Quiet Mon, at least for a bit, after Hebrew language school in Israel.

The Beach Bar just about any time.

The Tap Room on the hottest or most humid day.

Woody's when bride du jour is doing body shots, more fun than an epi-pen.

Dockside Pub when I first get of the ferry.... the Backyard on a Monday afternoon.... the Front Yard on Saturday night.... RIP

Cheers, RickG

I haven't seen anyone recommending Chateau Bordeaux. Our group was discussing going there for dinner for my 50th birthday.(:-o Am I really going to be THAT old?) We were looking at this place because of the view. Is this place a yes or no?

Bordeaux has a beautiful view during the day, but I don't think it is that great at night. Great restaurant, just not in my top 5.

Glad to see Rhumblines getting so many votes. We stumbled on it the first day we were on St John. Now we go back a couple of times every trip. Love it!

No love for Shela?

We had one disappointing meal while we were there - some "Texas" style place - I can't even remember the name.

We were there off season, so many of the places mentioned above were closed, but:
* BEST meal - Shela's right by the park in Cruz Bay - homemade with Love
* Expensive, and worth it - Morgan's Landing
* Big Belly Deli, Coral Bay - the owner made us a nice breakfast, even with a hangover!
* The Snack Shack, Coral Bay - have a lobster roll and a beer from the cooler while being welcomed as if you were a local

* Beach Bar - if I were to have my own bar, it would be just like this one. RIGHT by the water, watch the boats (or the rain), tasty and affordable drinks - and I hear the new bathroom is something to see now, too.
* Quiet Mon - I'm sure some people like it. We were put off by the rudeness and "I don't care" attitude of the bartender
