Where are you staying? Will you have a car?

Lizicles: There's a diversity of restaurants so to know what you're particularly interested in would be helpful. Likewise a diversity of beaches both on STT and STJ, from those with full facilities to those with none, excellent snorkelling sights to minimal, etc. A lot of the basic information is right here on this website by clicking on the various categories at the top of this page - and certainly if you read through various forum threads you'll find comments from a visitor's perspective on most of them. The search engine on this site is very good, so if you find something in the general category that's of interest, do a search on it under Forum Tools/Search.

To follow on Mathayom's questions, do rent a car - you'll see this admonition mentioned MANY times. Your freedom of choice is severely limited financially if you plan on relying on taxis or total frustration if you think public transportation might work for you. Cheers!

Defintely rent a car. Little intimidating at first but well worth it because you can come and go as you please and you will get used to the driving. We just got back Saturday and our favorite restaurant was Banana Tree Grill and our favorite beach was Trunk Bay on St John..

Here are our favorites as we live diown in STT as well as rent some apartments.

1. Roberts - Very nice, a little high, but worth it.

2. Ansleys (owned by the ower of Roberts, Robert is his sone, Ansley is his daughter). Prices are about 14.00 for a light dinner fare.

3. Carriben salon. They have a happy hour with half price appartisers and well drinks. Also very good stakes when they have them. Generally on days with an R. Prime rib special is about 22.00.

4. Dugffys. Good hang out place.

If you are there for a week then go to plaza extra or K mart. They will have what you need at a reasonable price.
