I called US Airways today to check for nonstop flights to STT, for my trip back to STJ in October. The agent said that they are no longer running non-stop that they are now connecting in Charlotte. Bluwater, you seem knowledgable about airfares, etc. have you heard anything about this. Looks like ill be taking a connecting flight.

It seems non-stops start back up in November. I also made reservations for September and there were no non-stops. It has been this way for a couple of months. Don't remember when they made the change, since I start looking at fares at the first possible moment (330 day out).

I fly out of Philadelphia, PA. Now if they change ALL their flights to connections, I will restart using AA.

When I first booked my Oct. flight it was non stop but they changed it to connecting in Charlotte. We originate in PHL.

Leaving for our first trip/honeymoon on 10/2 for 10 days. CAN'T WAIT!

Lucky you, you will have a great time. But how disappointing is that they changed your nonstop to a layover. Thats where I fly out of PHL and I always liked US Air but a little disappointed they changed things. There is nothing like having a nonstop flight, layovers arent my cup of tea.

I know what you mean. Newark is actually better for us but we went to PHL for the NON STOP 🙁

Oh well .. we are spending the night before our flight in the city and we have some favorite places there that we like to hit every now and again. So what can you do? We will make the best of it.

CoCo, I have noticed that there are no weekday non-stops from PHL on USAir- I have never experienced this in the past.

However, for the dates I was concerend with, the weekends still offered non-stop from now though early September.

I'm with you - hate stopping - just want to get there!

We must have gotten in on the last of them this past trip (we flew the PHL NS on Thursday 7/13). Hopefully they will add it back again when during the in-season when the demand increases.

We're just back from our awesome trip - how was yours?

nbw1024 - just curious, why did want to go to PHL for non-stop if Newark has non-stops and that is the airport you preferred? Was it you just wanted to fly USAir? Newark's non-stop is Continental. I was just wondering. We will be flying from Columbus OH to Newark to STT next April. That's how I knew Newark has non-stops.

CoCo - so did we! It was an amazing trip. Didn't make it to VG this time, but did go to JVD for awhile and to the Caves. I wore the hat, but mostly just to the beaches & after snorkeling; not often at the Westin. I'm going to start a trip report - took a lot of notes, so it will be rather long - stay tuned. Now just trying to get back into the daily drag, uh, I mean routine 😉

Gosh, It seems like at least 50% of the regular posters on this forum fly PHL to STT. We should just all get together for dinner in the USAirays Club at PHL! 😉

Just came in on Monday. Flew Hartford to PHL and then non stop to STT. Flight was excellent and we arrived earlier than scheduled. My eticket said no food but they served those premade turkey and cheese sandwiches. Get a sandwich or food for yourselves before you leave.
Our return trip on Aug. 24th is through Charlotte. Coming from Hartford it doesn't usually matter where we fly into before STT. Everyone coming down now have a great time.
