May and November are traditionally the wettest months of the year but that doesn't mean torrential rain every day for days on end so don't worry about it.

Definitely rent a car. St Thomas is an easy island to navigate and the ability to go where you want when you want without relying on (very expensive) taxis is priceless. The beach at Bolongo is OK but nothing to write home about compared to the beautiful East end beaches as well as those on St John so you'll want to do a lot of exploring and day trips. And there are tons of restaurants catering to an abundance of different tastes and in different price ranges which you'll want to visit too.

Between now and then keep reading as much as you can on both here and other sites so you know exactly where you're coming to and what there is to do. Have a great time!
