Does anyone know exactly how this day came about and why? Also is it always celebrated in conjunction with St. croix Ag Fair. Just wondering. When was it first celebraeted

It's not celebrated in conjunction w/ the Ag Fair. The Ag Fair is in February while VI/PR Friendship Day is in October. The day is to celebrate the cultural ties between the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. They celebrate it on the same day as Columbus Day, since a lot of people here do not believe in celebrating Columbus.
