What day/time did you go? You really missed out. Her desserts are yummy!

You just have to keep trying with Vie. I think she's kind of a busy lady. When we're on the island, we make frequent trips out that direction in hopes of catching her. Of course, we're usually there in August during her vacation...but the time we went in May we were able to catch her. We went earlier in the day, if I recall. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but noon is kind of late in the day for a lot of "snack shack" type places, isn't it? I just know that if I go to Jewel's or Hercules' after 11, I'm not likely to get anything.

Best to call before going. Her schedule is erractic but well worth the trip for the garlic chicken and even the "honor" beach!

I know she is a hit and miss kind of person. I think she has a phone you can call and ask her when she will be open. By swinging by twice in an hour and fifteen minutes going east and returning does not give her much time to say, get back from errands in Cruz Bay perhaps? or picking up a grandchild. I know she is retired and this is her hobby!

We always get to the East End once--sometimes twice--when we're on STJ. I can only remember one time in the last 20 years that we didn't find Vie there. We're always prepared for that possibility, though. If we're going snorkeling at Haulover, we like to have lunch there, but always bring some food in case she's closed. We don't pay attention to the day of the week or call her, but just seem to have good Vie Karma. i know other people seem to never find her open. I don't know what the deeper meaning is here, but we do love a day in the East End. If I was younger and not so needful of comfort, I'd love to camp over there for a week or two.
