Toured "Villa Jamie" twice in the last two months, we are contracting with the same builder. The house was renting for the first time about 6 weeks ago. Luxury, luxury, luxury...... the house is quite far out on Picara Point, but is an easy enough drive with views out over the Atlantic facing towards Hans Lo lick. The pools actually hangs out over the ocean.

The pool is very private and I believe that only someone on a boat could see you. The owners commissioned an outstanding home and the contractor did not disappoint. The bedrooms and baths are all exceptional.

"Villa Jamie" will not disappoint!!!

Thank you so much for your input. It looked really nice in the pictures. I am having a hard time finding anything that is comparable for the price.

Just saw this villa on the McLaughlin Anderson site last night. Wow - pictures look good!

Picara Point is just the perfect place for a villa (tho', I wish they would stop building them there NOW - need to keep the privacy of what is there).

Picara is at the tip of the Peterborg Peninsula. It is a super-lux community of villas and wealthy residents. One side of peninsula overlooks Magens Bay and the other side overlooks the Atlantic and if the house is positioned correctly, you'll have down-isloand views of STJ, Tortola, Jost, etc to the right.....and maybe Puerto Rico to the left. The breezes are amazing!

There's one road into Peterborg - and people are often jogging, strolling, etc. It is safe and quiet. The main road is well paved on the way in....and you'll pass luxurious gates opening to more luxurious villas with names that say "don't even look at me if your wallet isn't right". And then, as you head farther out to the point (again, on the ONE road), it narrows and becomes more remote.....still passing villas with major attitude and names to match.......Diva, Stargate, Sand Dollar Estate (former President Clinton's hideaway), Secret Garden, etc.....on and on.

Villas in this area are typically most expensive than anywhere else on the island. It is worth the extra $. IMHO. You'll be very close to Magens Bay Beach. I'm not a jogger - but I have gone with joggers who have jogged to Magens Bay everyday from Peterborg. I have, however, walked to the smaller pocket beaches along the peninsula - still in Magens Bay, but not the big Magens Bay beach.

There are little private pockets of beach (I mean HEAVENLY sand pockets) on this peninsula. You'll typically need to use someone's driveway to get to them.....so they aren't going to be visited by just anyone.....but people are generally nice if they know you're staying on the peninsula (you're a belonger).

I don't like the name of this villa - sorry Jamie - just my opinion 🙁 . When I originally read this thread, I didn't even bother to look up the villa because it didn't sound alluring. I thought it was something else. I guess you can't judge a villa by the name - shame on me.

Here's the McLaughlin Anderson map of villas - You can see what is out on Peterborg. This map hasn't been updated in a while. But, I think Jamie may be out by Villa Pallina.

Hi there

How long does it take to drive from one end of the island to the other? North to South and East to West - I'm just curious.

I'm so excited - I too will be preparing a pre-trip report (no doubt).

We will be there for NINE nights. I could just scream!! I keep praying for good weather.

Jen
