We're generating a short list of villas for President's Week 2010 for a family of four (two teenage sons). We stayed in a Westin villa a few years ago but would like to try a villa. I thought the Great Cruz Bay and Chocolate Hole areas would be good in case we want to spend a little time at the Westin. I've been searching sites, reading reviews, taking notes,...but it gets confusing. We'd like 2-3 BRs, a view of the water, pool, and Wifi if possible. I like to know there are others near by so it doesn't have to be too private. Our budget is about $500 a day. We might be able to pay little more depending on the house. Thanks for any insights!

Try Veridian Garden villa at Destinationstjohn.com Right on the water, next to Westin has pool....We stayed there years ago and could see the fireworks I think they were fireworks( maybe 1 to many drinks lol) and heard the Westins music while on the beach steps from the villa. Price was right .....

I had this villa on my list, although the price is a little out of our range for high season. Good to hear that you would recommend it. Thanks!

I know the house/villa right next door is also a rental but not sure all it has but a pool and also on the water. With the same rental management Company. What I saw I liked it.....

Villa Bijou looks like another great villa, but the timeframe you are looking at puts that out of your range as well..
I think that is a pricey time when you are going...

February is very expensive and not my preferred time to go to St. John, but it's the only time that works for my family. I wish we could go in low season ...but I am finding some possibilities. I did get a deal on airfare!

Please share what villa you decided on and maybe get some reviews on it. We have gone in February before and it is expensive but also a good time weather wise. Cant wait to see what you chose.

After hours of research and some great possibilities in the Great Cruz Bay area, we decided to try Coral Bay. My husband really likes that side and my sons hardly spent time at theWestin when we were staying there. I'm about to send the check in for "Fun and Contentment," which was well under our budget for this time of year. It supposedly has a killer driveway but that didn't really bother us. Thanks for all your help and I'll be lurking on this board for awhile!

I stayed in Chez Shell last June, as you leave the Westin it is a short drive up the large hill to the right. I had a lot of luck with vivacations, they were very courteous, helped with a rental car, etc. Has a nice view down on the Westin.

Hey, that looks like a great villa. How can you beat those views???
Coral Bay always seems to be less money so that is a plus as well...Let us know how the drive up to
the villa is upon your return. We will be waiting for a great trip report..Have fun!
