There are 5 girls coming to St. John in Oct. We will be staying at The Beach Estate on Cruz Bay. Is any one familiar with this villa? Are the bugs going to be really bad in Oct.? This will be our first time staying on St John. In 2005 we stayed on St. Thomas, and had a blast!! Hope this year is as much fun!!!

Not familiar with that villa. We were on St. John, Salt Pond area, last Oct. Bugs weren't bad during the day; however, they do come out for dinner in the evenings. So, take a bug juice. Seems as to what is most effective varies from person to person. There is host of info on this site about what worked for some and what didn't.
