Can anyone tell me what the vibe is at the VM pool? Even though I've stayed at Cottages and Sand Castle many times I have only driven down there once or twice while it was under construction. The reason for interest now is that after looking at a google map, it looks like if I park at the south end of the pool lot I can walk over to a nice beach area by the volley ball court.
Is this area a known "tug "or" teif" hangout. From my teen years it seemed that public pools could attract an unsavory crowd. Bottom line- is it safe?

This is a very nice park. Very much a family vibe, especially on weekends, grills going, tables loaded down with food. The beach is very nice, excellent for snorkeling. It's on that rock shelf thingy, so you have to watch to enter where there is sand, but otherwise the beach is beautiful and clean. Take your own chairs, but there are little palapas near the water for shade. Big parking lot.

Thanks Linda. We'll definitely try it out. We are familiar with the rock ledge. We've stayed at Cottages many times.
