So, we've booked a charter flight to Anegada from STT. Now, looking for a way to go to Virgin Gorda, no air charters this time, and spend pretty much an entire day there. As I look at the ferry schedule, it doesn't look too forgiving to get there and spend time there from St. John, where we are staying. Can you share the best way to go to Virgin Gorda, either from STT or STJ, and spend most of the day there?

Thanks!!!

Depending on how many people are traveling -- 6 or less, rent a med. size powerboat w/ or w/o a Captain depending on your boating experience and level of cocktailing expected - safety 1st! - and go directly to Spanishtown, get a dayslip at the marina if you do not plan to use the boat for exploring , clear customs, take a taxi for your island needs or rent a car for the day, --leave VG in time to clear Customs in STJ and return the boat.
Depending on the boat and sea state -- plan on 1.5 hrs to and a bit less coming home.
Cost: Rental boat - Captain + gratuity - Gas - Customs - vehicle transport on VG - food and drink.
It will give the option of seeing other places in the BVI should you find that your time on VG is shorter.

We used Stormy Petrel charters in February. They leave out of either STT or STJ, and head for Virgin Gorda. Check out their website. This was my favorite thing we did on our trip.
