Can anyone recommend a villa rental company for Virgin Gorda. We have rented on St. John several times but are thinking of trying Virgin Gorda even though it seems it might be even more difficult to get to than St. John. We would be travelling from New York airport, what is the best route?
Thank you.

As this is a USVI board, you might be better off trying a BVI board. www.traveltalkonline.com has a pretty active BVI group.

I believe you have to fly into Tortola (Beef Island) and ferry over to Virgin Gorda. From NY your best bet is to connect through San Juan.

McLaughlin Anderson rents villas on Virgin Gorda - which,of course, is a top recommendation. There are some absolutely fabulous beachfront villas on VG - Mahoe Bay. The opportunity to front some of the best sand in the VI is a unique opportunity! I'm planning something myself 🙂

try www.blueescapes.com the phone number is listed on the website - ask for Hunter Butler

She works hard for her clients - she was able to make car reservations also.

We flew from Cincy to Chicago to San Juan to Tortola and private ferry to Virgin Gorda - We had major problems in San Juan that made us miss our regular ferry connection - so I called Hunter - she called her people in Virgin Gorda and was able to get us that private ferry from tortola to V.G. -- the 10 of us made it but of course our luggage didn't (American Eagle and San Juan Airport is just a bad bad combination)

There was 10 of us and we rented Christa Villa for 10 days - this villa was on the older side of life but we would stay there again and again -

Our whole family recommends Blue Escapes and we luv Hunter

Virgin Gorda was magnificent - some people say that if you like St John you'll like Virgin Gorda

You can fly in to Virgin Gorda from STT. I stayed at Villa Valmarc overlooking Mahoe Bay about 5 years ago and it was wonderful.

Air Sunshine flys to/from San Juan direct to VG using 10 seat Cessnas. Sometimes you can get cheap AF NYC to SJU so that might be viable, esp when you consider cost of extra ferries, taxis etc.
Also I believe Seaborne is starting sea plane service to VG so check that out. Google their websites.
Guavaberry Spring Bay vacation homes on VG manage their "vacation homes" as well as several villas in the Baths area. They are wonderful to deal with, per my review on tripadvisor.com.
