Is it feasible to walk from the Westin to Cruz Bay? What is the distance? What is the road like?

It's feasible, but neither easy or fast. I'm guessing the distance to be around 2 miles but it includes one very steep hill. In places there are no sidewalks and very little space to walk on the side of the road so the trek is also dangerous in places.

There are always safari buses running back and forth from Cruz Bay to the Westin. The last time I checked the price was $2.50 one-way (plus tip).

Safari buses are lined up to collect passengers with each ferry. They go to all the 'major' beaches including Trunk.

Hello Ginger,

A safari is taxi rather than a public bus - although those exist too.

The safaris operate to Trunk Bay and anywhere else you are willing to pay the taxi fare to go. You can find taxi rates on this site under St. John - Transportation - Taxi, or cut and paste:

https://www.vinow.com/stjohn/getting_around_stj/taxi.php

If you are interested in public bus information, its on the transportation page also.

As Chris mentioned there are always taxis waiting at the Cruz Bay ferry dock. When you walk off the dock they are standing right there and their vehicles are parked just on the left of the dock. There is also a taxi stand area at Trunk Bay so its easy to get a taxi back to the dock or to go elsewhere if you like.

Hello Ginger,

Cinnamon Bay and Trunk Bay have showers/changing/rest rooms - so you might rinse off there and change, if you are heading to those beaches. I don't recall if there are mirrors, but if you needed a mirror to fix your hair or something you could do that at the Westin ladies room... 🙂 Have a great time.
