I just realized that Sears does not ship to St.Thomas.

Any locals lurking here that can tell me what big box stores will ship to St.Thomas.

Thinking of

Walmart
Target
Kohls
etc..........
Will Kmart.com allow me to ship to the store in St.Thomas ???

Mainly clothing. I am Canadian and this gives me a good chance to send stuff to StTho,as while I'm vacationing and bring it home.

Thanks in advance

unless you are staying a long time it may not be dollar wise. I shipped som stuff from New Jersey. It ran to be about 4.00 a cubic foot from NJ to St. Thomas. I'm not sure where you are in Canada but you would need to ship it by truck to Miami, that is where the boats leave for STT.

Things from amazon.com come in as well as JC Penney's. There are others but doubt KMart.

Sears and KMart are merging, so they're almost the same store now. You can buy many of the same clothing items at our KMart as a Stateside KMart.

Uh, if you don't mind my asking, how many clothes do you need? Dress is very casual here, so a few pairs of shorts, t-shirts, a pair of pants or two, and maybe 2 casual shirts. Oh, and of course swimming attire. Some warm weather clothes may even be cheaper here, because they're worn year-round, and there's lots of competition.

You can always ship via US Postal Service, DHL, UPS, etc, and for large things like appliances, most people use Tropical Shipping.

I would be buying clothes to take back with me to Canada it is much cheaper to buy in the USA it's just that most US stores will not ship at all to Canada. As an example Levis 501 Jeans are $32 from sears.com $45 plus our 13% tax on Sears.ca Plus there are lots of brands that we can't even get in Canada.

The only thing I don't think I have ever seen in the USA is Smarties you have M&M's LOL

A lot of your major retailers also ship free or for very little cost compared to our's.

Well, you can rent a mail box (NOT a post office box) from one of the many services for a month, and have it shipped to that address, and pick it up when you get here. You have to make sure they'll ship USPS Priority Mail, and allow approx 3 weeks for it to get here. The box price for a month-to-month rate is approx $15. Some of them limit package sizes, however, depending on how much storage space they have.

The main issue would be time and pre-planning. USPS Priority Mail claims delivery within 3-5 days but this is NOT guaranteed and I have sometimes waited as long as 2-3 weeks for a Priority package to finally arrive. Express Mail IS guaranteed but expensive. Some retail stores ship UPS (United Parcel Service) and although I've heard some horror stories about their local operation, my limited dealings with them have been perfect. However, their services are also expensive.

You may well find some clothing locally that will suit. There are two KMarts here - the one in Tutu Park Mall has the larger slection of clothing and is really quite extensive while also in the mall is the Marianne's clothing store as well as several others. There are also nice clothing stores downtown. Best of luck to you and happy shopping!

PS: No Smarties but if you decide to take a trip over to the BVI you might find them there. My passion is Bassett's Allsorts and a kind friend just brought me enough to last about six months. ... Cheers!
