I was wondering if anyone had info on a water taxi/ tender ride from crown bay to St. Johns? We are coming in on a cruise ship to this port and wanted to go straight to St. Johns.

Hello Drewm,

You have a few options for getting from Crown Bay Dock to St. John.

If you want to do the water taxi, it is $50 pp and there is a 5 person minimum - so $250, one way. You can find more information at http://www.viwatertaxi.com.

The cruise ship likely offers an excursion that takes you from Crown Bay dock to St. John; this will be with a group and following the excursion's itinerary.

And there are ferries. There are two ferry departure points on St. Thomas for catching a ferry to St. John: Charlotte Amalie waterfront and Red Hook Ferry Dock. The Charlotte Amalie ferry is closer to Crown Bay Dock, a 10-12 minute drive in low traffic (with traffic longer), however the Red Hook ferry has more frequent trips. You need to check the schedules and see which one works best for your schedule. You can find schedules for both on this site under Getting to St. John.

Hope that helps.
