Hello everyone!

I am supposed to visit St. Thomas Monday, 3/3/14 through Friday 3/7/14. The forecast shows cloudy every day with 30% chance of rain. I'm unsure if it will be cloudy all day or if the sun usually peeks through periodically.

I'm really bummed, because all I want to do is lounge at the beach. Should I cancel my trip?:X

This is the forecast 98% of the year. Best advice is not to look at any weather forecasts and just pack plenty of sunscreen and after-tan lotion!

If you actually believe someone could accurately predict the cloud cover and POP over 30 days out on a daily basis you have some great faith in the weathermen!

Even if it's cloudy and rains on one side of the island, another side will be sunny. Plus unless it say 70% plus chance of showers, we normally can have a brief shower then back to sunny weather again.
STT Resident is right tho. That's the forecast even when there's not a dark cloud in the sky.

You can pretty much plan on needing sun screen unless there is a name associated with the weather 'event'. Any rain that does fall tends to be sporadic, helps keep the islands that amazing green and fills the cisterns.

I was wondering how you could get an accurate weather forecast for a month from now.

Have a great time! We still have to wait 3 more months.

Both times I have visited I have never had a problem with the rain. One shower on one trip and that was about it. Take your sunscreen and a hat and have a blast. It is my favorite place to vacation. Planning my 3rd trip in June.
Enjoy!
