Hello. My fiance' and I are getting married on 7-8-07 at Gallows Point... Mary Bartolucci from Island Style weddings is our wedding coordinator. Does anyone have any pictures, info on weddings at Gallows?? Actually, any reviews of Gallows and the grounds would be great. Trying to visualize how the gazebo will be for the ceremony.. also, I've been told there is an "asphalt" are for dancing, etc..hmmm..

We have spent time on St. John and are pretty familiar with the island in general but have never been in the summer months... is it ridiculously hot?

Hi,
We stayed at Gallows in June 2005. It wasn't our wedding, but our 20the Anniversary. There are some pictures in here from Gallows. I don't think that you will be disappointed.

The gazebo has a nice backdrop of Cruz Bay harbor and some nearby hills. Should work out well for photos, etc. Keep in mind, if you can have your ceremony (or reception) near dusk, you'll be rewarded with a fantastic sunset for your pics!

Asphalt? Hmm... well there is a couple of tiered decks by the water. Maybe they're referring to them. In which case, they'll be good for dancing. That's where they have the annual employee xmas party -- and there's always music & dancing.

Zozo's is nice. Ask for John and I'm sure he'll take care of you. Be sure to go upstairs to Jax lounge for a wonderful view of the Caribbean and STT. We had our rehearsal dinner there and it was great.

Good luck!

I am super excited too.. we're doing a 6 pm ceremony, so nearly sunset. Pics after the ceremony should be great lighting. Our reception, however, will be outside also... on the lawn. I have been looking for pics of weddings, parties, anything at Gallows and have not had much luck. Just trying to get an idea of what the grounds or "lawn" are like for the reception. But, I have also been told that this is a new thing for Gallows to allow receptions out on the lawn. Already hired the caterer and music entertainment, so everything is pretty much set. Have you considered the decor for the gazebo? Mary told me that it is pretty plain on it's own, and to allow a budget for decorating it.. I think we're just doing flowers.. orchids, roses, etc, all around and in it. Bougainvillea would also be really pretty, and more readily available! I have only heard fantastic things about Zozo's, so I'm sure you are in for a treat! Have you been to St John before?

sounds like you have all in order!!! Are you also staying at gallows? Who are you using for your photographer/music?

I have actually never been to the islands, however brad has many times and his father lives in st thomas! I just hope the weather is nice and the whole day/night goes smoothly! We are staying a gallows the night of our wedding, however everyone else will be at secret harbour!

So interested in your plans for a wedding at Gallow's Point... I sent you an email with a couple of pics that might show you the "lawn" area. Don't know if they'll be of much help or not. I also have pics of inside of our unit if that interests you. As I said in my email, choose your unit wisely because they are all individually owned and vary greatly in how up to date they are. 15 D and 1 C are good choices from what I saw last summer. I took pics of the sunset from Gallow's, right beside the gazebo if you want me to send those also... really spectacular on most days... Kathleen

Jessica&Brad,

We are using Blueglass Photography, and Mark Wallace Music... both have websites under that name, and I'm told are wonderful. My fiance', Mark, and I got engaged on St. John in Nov, it was my first time there, but he had been many times.... it is an amazing place, I'm sure you will love it! I'll send you an email when I get a few minutes and tell you more about our wedding details if you are looking to compare notes...

If you go to to www.pbase.com/promoguy101 and hit the USVI pix from 2005 you should see some gallows pix. When's the wedding. If it's at the end of Jun and begining of July, let me know......

I do great receptions.

PS you'll love zozo's
