Can anyone help us??? We are looking at Sun, Moon and Stars, but then found a place called Island Dreams which is located further down the hill in Coral Bay. They both look wonderful, but I certainly don't want to make a mistake (since we are going for 9 days). My husband was raised in STT, but left in the early 1990's, so he doesn't recall these place being there. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! We go back to STT twice a year, but I really want to stay in STJ after visiting. P.S. I'm not a shopper!! We love the east end of STT, but want something different this time.

Thanks, Donna

Donna- I'm not an expert but I have learned alot about STJ villa selection through my own experience. You have to start narrowing down the options by setting your bounds or criteria, such as: must you have AC?, must you have a pool?, which part of the Island do you want to be on (Cruz, Coral, North Shore, South Shore, Bordeaux Mtn), once you make a couple decisions it gets alot easier because you have rules alot of Villas out... My biggest criteria was location so I started there...

Feel free to look at these Villa location maps I made...I neglected South Shore and East End because I wasn't personally interested in those for my 2008 trip...

My favorite villa sites were:
vivavacations.com
caribbeanvilla.com
vrbo.com
destinationstjohn.com
bookitvi.com

Cheers-

I haven't stayed at either of these places but I'd say Sun, Moon and Stars would be a better choice. Island Dreams looks 'cute' but too small it seems to me. SM&S has more living space and a really great covered veranda. So SM&S gets my vote. I love the Coral Bay side of the island. Be sure to rent a 4WD for driving up that steep hillside.
