What to do with Beach gear while shopping?

Hello all,

We are about to embark on our first Cruise. We are looking at snorkeling on St Thomas, but would like to go in the afternoon and SHOP in the morning. Are there lockers or locations to place our Snorkel gear safely while we shop? Or is it just better to shop, then stop off back at the ship and drop off our purchases and get our gear? Is that even allowable? Suggestions? Thanks.

No lockers available. And, you wouldn't want to buy something nice in town and then leave it unattended on a public beach while you go swimming.

.You can go back to the ship, drop off your purchases and pick-up your gear, and then head to the beach
