My lady and I are staying here 4/8-4/15 2006. We've been to STT before but never to the eastern side. Any thoughts on this place? We bought the all-inclusive.
Also, we'd like to go horseback riding on a beach if posssible. Any suggestions?

Me and the family stayed there a couple years back. It's a nice place. Get up early and reserve a deck chair....it gets crowded around the pool and beach. If you eat at the resturant "The Manor".....1st, make reservations early in the week and 2nd, service is SLOW...VERY slow.

We stayed there for our honeymoon in August '04. Very nice place. We chose not to have the AI package (wanted to eat more out around the island). The beach area is kinda small but we went exploring anyways. We did have to eat at their restaurant when Hurricane Frances came thru and it was pretty good! Our room had the little fridge (not sure if they all have that or not) and all and the views are awesome!!!

We have stayed there twice in the last 2 years. Love it. The AI is a great option if you like to drink. Which we do, so it was the most cost effective option. Nice beach, but bring some swin shoes. It's a little rocky in spots. Rooms are nice, food is great. Especially breakfast. Service at times is a little slow, but I find it that way anywhere you go...island time and all. No worries!

Great location as well since you're 5 min from Red Hook. You can hop a ferry anywhere.

I would definitely recommend. Also they have an activity coordinator there than can book you on a horseback riding trip no problem. You can probably call them ahead of time to reserve but usually not a problem.

I have stayed there twice. It was a nice hotel and if I were to stay on St Thomas then I would stay there but I prefer and do go to St John. You can get the all inclusive deal at the Wyndham but I would only go with that if you plan to stay at the hotel alot. There isnt much of a beach, it is very rocky. The staff and workers are very friendly, loved them alot. The restaurant which is inside the main lobby is open for breakfast and dinner which are both very nice, and then they have a poolside grill which provides burgers, chicken etc. The restaurant near the pool is actually a buffet style dinner, and that I wasnt too thrilled with. Very buggy, and I dont like that especially when im eating. The rooms are plain nothing fancy, but they are clean and nice. The hotel isnt far from Red Hook which is convenient. When we were there the pool water was very cold, but we adjusted. My son was 7 at the time and he had a ball there, he ran around that whole place like he owned it. Its nice and I would go back, but I doubt I will because we choose to go to St John instead. If you have anymore questions Ill check back and give ya my thoughts.

I didnt find it very good to snorkel in, the water isnt all that deep, and again its rocky. We rented snorkel gear for the day and went to other beaches and snorkeled.
