Service in the dining room is SLOW and the beach is small. It's a nice place but we wouldn't rush back there.

Dear Matt,

"Nice" is subjective and it really depends on what you're looking for from your stay here. Wyndham Sugar Bay's business is 80% all-inclusive, straight from the horse's mouth as it were as I asked one of the management staff exactly that question last week. It's a "nice" resort but many guests have told me that they wouldn't go all-inclusive either at Wyndham or anywhere else on a next visit because there is so much else to do on the island, loads of restaurants to sample and going all-inclusive pretty much ties you to the one spot.

The manager also confirmed what I had heard from guests - that the food is "OK" but nothing special. Hope this helps!

Agreed. We are returning to the Wyndham, but we will not be taking the AI again because we will be exploring much of the time. We enjoyed the Wyndham, but most of the rooms are a good walk from the pool, the beach, and the restaurants. (look up the '99 stairs to the pool' This includes the beach, unless I missed something the last time we were there!) It is definitely not a 'walk out to the beach' type of place, however, we like it plenty! Its all about expectations! (the food is OK, my favorite was the pizza from the grill if that tells you anything..)

I absolutely concur w all the other posters. I stayed at the Wyndham twice. First time, fabulous all-inclusive w good food, great room, etc. Second time, the alacarte dinners were unpalatable to say the least. Breakfast and grilled lunches were fine, but for the money, don't do the Wyndham all-inclusive. And folks are correct - long walk to a small beach.

When I was last there, the Wyndham had a shuttle service that took you to the beach area, spa, gate etc. I used it to get to the Mini golf location.
