great views, from the beach side.

No beach.

Good place for lunch.

It is a hike to get anywhere.

Nice hotel and although it's beach isn't anything to write home about there is easy access to many beautiful beaches in the immediate area. It's also close to the Red Hook ferry terminal for ferries to St John and the BVI as well as sailing charters. They offer some sort of an AI plan but wouldn't recommend you take that either there or any of the other few places which offer it as there are so many good dining experiences all over the island and hotel food is, well, hotel food! With our economy following the general trend, I understand they're offering some pretty sweet deals right now. Wherever you decide to stay, figure a rental car into your budget so you can explore! Cheers!

We're staying at the Point Pleasant Resort, next door. Yes, the Wyndham has a beach. It might not look like Sapphire or Coki, but it's still a beach. Besides it's right next to our "Sugar Beach" a beautiful cozy little beach that brings to mind a deserted tropical island. And the view is incredible.

Dejavu,

If you have children traveling with you I would definately stay there. We eventually always end up at the Wyndham for the mini golf, bumper boats or the ease of buffet dining when with the kids. With that said, if it's a romantic getaway, stay somewhere exclusive.
