We leave in a week and i have a passport....boyfriend doesnt...so i want to make sure he will be able to get back into the USVI's with his lisence and birth certificate?! Thanks!!! Also....one more thing....what are the best ( Nice and for the money) day trip charters?? Maybe we will do that?

The way I understand it - the ferry goes DIRECTLY to Jost on those days, but you can still get there via Tortola on the other days. We went on a Sunday, directly to Jost.

Okay thank you very much! I know i went last year...stopped in Tortola first...So im thinking it would be much more convenient just to go Sunday and be able to go straight there.

The weekend JVD ferry from STT and STJ stops on Tortola to check in with Customs. It's a brief stop and your single ticket gets you all the way to JVD.

There is a separate ferry service from STT to JVD on other days, but you have a "layover" on Tortola and have to purchase separate tickets (1 from STT to Tortola and another from Tortola to JVD).

If you can go on the weekend, it seems to be the best route. We've done it twice and it's an easy trip.

Good Luck - Have Fun!
