The Old Tart has graciously agreed to host another special Tuesday buffet gathering at the Toad and Tart. There will be a great spread of delicious choices all for the price of $15 per person.

It would be wonderful to get to meet many of the VINow forum members who I've come to know over the several years I've been reading the forum. Please RSVP to this post if you think you will be able to make it so that we can have a head count and guarantee 15 people.

Hoping to see many of you there.

Gerie

We have a great head count as we draw very close to VCPD (Visitor's Cocktail Party Day) on Tuesday the 12th and the invitees will comprise a delightful bunch with several of my regular customers also attending (they just LOVE these special affairs!) If anybody else is swinging on that proverbial fence, speak now or hold your piece or peace. Cheers!

I thought that I would chime in and say what a wonderful time that we had last May. It was great meeting new poeple and putting a few faces with names of people that I have gotten to know through this board. Unfortunately I will not be on island for at least another month. I hope that everyone has a great time.

This was so nice and I'm glad I was able to attend. It was fun to see some familiar faces from the AOL days and to meet some new people. Many thanks to Gerie for putting this together and to The Old Tart for a job well done. The food was really nice. If anyone is thinking of having a small informal gathering on St. Thomas, The Toad and Tart worked out great. I highly recommend it!

No photos that I know of, Jeff was shocked I didn't get pics, but we got there late and left early due to my Nieces situation! She was to arrive the day before and didn't get in until just before the gathering, no luggage, off to K-Mart, then home to shower and then to Toad and Tart! Whew! Food was great! The poor Tart had to spend too much time in the kitchen, tho she was able to join in some...... I did enjoy it greatly!

And we did miss you Blu. Were your ears burning? We were saying how much we missed you on the forum and wondering what you were up to. It was great to finally meet Sherri and Jeff. It was a fun time and the Toad and Tart did not disappoint. It was a great spread and a truly enjoyable night. Thanks to Anna!

Winding down from a crazy busy night with more to clean up but at least I've a brief chance to breathe while we wait for the last customers to leave... Yes, Blu, I heard you mentioned (Old Tart hears all even from the kitchen!) and hope you'll stay in touch and, if you're coming back here any time soon and need some more special hot sauce, let me know in advance!

I really don't think anyone did take any photos. One of my bartenders was thinking of bringing her camera but forgot it and I was running around too much to even think about getting out mine. Thus all-attenders shall remain delightfully anonymous.

It was so lovely to see so many old friends (yes, Ronnie, you're included, and do you remember that we go back well over 20 years? You're almost the oldest oldster I know!!!!) and meet some new faces attached priorly to only forum handles. Sherri, hope your poor delayed niece and her hubbie are finally getting some good island R&R after the trauma of the delayed flight!

Kudos to my right hands, Mandy and Holly for doing such a great job as always. They split the shifts on my open nights and then work together when we do special t'ings - lovely gals they are!

Cheers everyone and one of these days we'll do a repeat when someone like the lovely Gerie makes a brilliant suggestion!
