We will be arriving for one day on St. Thomas on July 5. I desperately want a calm beach to swim at in the afternoon of our stay. I've had ankle surgery and our trip to Antigua the beach of the hotel we stayed at was very rough and I could not swim, much to my disappointment. Does Magens beach rent chairs? Is it too crowded and commercial? Recommendations plez! I'm looking for a beach, with chair to rent, food and rum drink available. Thanx in advance! I'd also be interested in a Cat trip, but think it might be too rough with this fused ankle of mine. Is there an Cat operator that might be able to give me a little assist if needed?

Definitely go to Magens Bay. They have chairs, rum drinks, all you need. Not too commercial, especially in July. It is BEAUTIFUL!
