Are there any speciific beaches on St. Thomas or St. John where my son and I can search for (and find) beach glass?

According to a regular local poster on another travel forum there is an abundance of beach glass at Fortuna Beach and the shoreline is easily accessible via car on a paved road. Have fun!

zimmer,
Do a search on this subject and you will find a thread that has more beaches listed! Expand your search beyond a year, it has been quite some time since it was talked about. Good Luck! (tu)

John Brewer's Beach used to have lots of beach glass and shells. As you probably know, there is not as much being made or found as there was in days gone by. Darn plastic bottles...

Went to Fortuna Beach earlier today....save yourself the drive. I picked up 4 pieces smaller than a penny!

Go to the beach after a storm, then it is a good place to go.

After Tippi's post about not finding anything on Fortuna I did recheck with the poster on the other visitor's forum and was advised that there is very often an abundance of sea glass there. Beach-combing often takes a long time and a lot of patience. and depends on tides and swells. There is apparently also some on the waterfront on STT adjacent to the Justice Building.
