Would anyone have info on the British Virgin Islands? I hear Richard Branson owns one of the islands there. Love his restaurant Babylon Gardens in London. Is there a difference in island life on the various islands?

Ce's

Branson owns Necker Island, a small island near Virgin Gorda. Each of the BVI is distinct from one another. Here's a link to a pretty active BVI forum:

Just saw his amazing mansion on one of the travel shows. Sure is beautiful. Wonder if he's as nice as he seems? Amazing property. He said he bought the island with the first 300,000 he made. Good for him.

Yes Branson owns Necker island. He did in fact purchase it for 300k. His guests there include to many A list stars and royalty to list.
I do believe it can be rented at a price of 30k per day fully staffed. It's current value is listed at 150 million. And he is currently in negotiations to purchase a small island (mosquito island) very close in proximity.

Yep, the locals know him. He's the guy that leaves his trash on Loblolly Beach on Anegada. Nice neighor?

My question Rick is WHY is that allowed? Who on anegada is responsible for that, for getting him or his people to stop it? My lord, doesn't he have enough money to dispose of the trash the right way? That just makes me sick, even sicker then the people who throw things out their windows like it's nothing, or the people who leave their trash on the beaches.

Where I live you can get fined for littering. He should be fined for every single piece of litter he dumps there.

Given that Branson has quite a reputation for being ecologically sensitive, sounds to me like just another trashy island tale...
