Hi,

I am staying in STT for 10 days this month. Could someone please tell me where I could find a place on the island to pick up wireless Internet?

Thanks,

Justin

If you search this forum for wireless internet, you'll find responses to a request I posted about two months ago.

Justin, where will you be staying? Are you hoping for free wi-fi, or are you willing to pay?

Karen,

Where we are staying does not have wi-fi. Last time we visited, we stayed at Secret Harbor and paid for the service they provided. We don't mind paying but we wanted to know if there was a public place to pick it up for free? I see there is an Internet cafe in Havensight.

Thanks for your help,

Justin

NISKY CENTER, THE BEACHCOMBER HOTEL BY THE AIRPORT, THE WATERFRONT AT YACHT HAVEN GRANDE IN FRONT OF ROYAL CARIBBEAN.

BUT THE PLACE MOST PEOPLE GO IS NISKY CENTER, THE WHOLE PLACE IS WIRED.

There are several outside locations on the East end where you can pick up a good signal for free. I understand one of them is around the former Renaissance/Grand Beach property and have heard there are several others so maybe some of the East end residents can chip in and share their spots. Cheers!

Nisky Center - So, do you just sit in the parking lot with your laptop? Or, do you have to go into a place of business?

The lobby of Sapphire beach is wireless. We used it when we were down in November. They also have one of those pay by the minute internet machines you can use. No problem in just sitting in one of their chairs in the lobby to use it.

At Nisky Center, people sit around the tables located around the facility, at the tables in the restaurants and on the benches on the second floor.

On the North Shore, Kokopelli Pizza Cafe is wi-fi & free, also Euphoria Latte and Johnny Mango's BBQ in Fort Milner Shopping Plaza are free wi-fi. By the way, the BBQ ribs and brisket, potato salad and cole slaw are the BEST on the island bar none at Johnny Mango's!!!
